The Big Swing
Debrief, marking the halfway mark of my time in Swaziland. Debrief is exactly what the name is. My team and the other Novas team in South Africa met up with some Adventures In Missions leaders. Debreif is like a greiving session so we can step back from the hustle and bustle and gather up our thoughts, basically to better tell the story of our lives for the past 5 months. We will have a “Final Debrief” when we all get back into the states too. Debrief is also a time to “get away” and do something crazy and have fun and just let loose i guess. Like the Novas teams in Kenya went whitewater rafting down the Nile! and we rode the biggest swing in Africa. You fall for about 200 feet or roughly 3 seconds off the side of a cliff until the ropes catch you. Then when you swing out you see the waterfall the is raging right below you from the same cliff you just jumped off backwards. It was a good time. Here’s me and Lila doing it…
