Okay, so there is some confusion. Most people back home think I am in Africa right now and I have been the whole time. False. So here's the run down of what the Novas Project is all about:

The Novas Project is more than a mission trip. It's an 8-month missions experience. The word Novas literally means a "new way," in Latin. For these past 7 weeks, I, Bryan, or Byron, or Mr. Poop Man, have been living in Adventures In Missoins base in Mexico. Its in this gnarly little farming village called "Ejito Buenos Aires." We are here to train. The AIM leaders have been, on a grand scale, teaching us how to be missionaries. Thats why this is a missions experience, not a missoin trip. Now, this first part of the trip is 8 weeks long and we are now in week 7 and, honestly, I'm gonna cry my face off when I leave these people here... Right on, so, this last week here our teams will be going on a outreach ministry, which is all and completely planned by us. It's like this because well thats exactly how things are gonna be in Swaziland, we make our schedule and God makes our ministry. For week 8 we have a budget that we're given, which is great because its such a tight one! and will force us even more to learn how to truely depend on the Father. We've also had the world opened to us for this week, meaning, as long as we can afford it we can go anywhere we feel led to go and do whatever we feel led to do. Awesome huh?

So, during the second part of the trip, is when I'll be in Swaziland, reaching the poorest of the poor. There, we have a contact by the names of Marious and Jodi and she just squirted out a baby! Oh this is exciting, our team was just told today that some churches who were recently in Swazi had given Marious and Jodi a giant load of cash to open a few more care points. Care points are basically where the kids and families get food and survive. So whats exciting is that our team will be starting these care points in Swaz! I love starting things, but even better, from what i hear, the care points are great ministry opps. Its still hard to be ubber pumped about Africa because we still have a little more than a week here, and its nearly impossible for me to look for tomorrow when there is still so much to do today.

To some it all up... 2 months in Mexico, 6 months in Swaziland, and a life changed.
